About Me
Hi, I’m Lauren.
When I was a little girl, there were four things I wanted to be when I grew up: a hairdresser, an air hostess, a mother, and an artist.
I’ve achieved three of those so far.
Today, my life is full. I spend my days raising my beautiful family, supporting my husband in his passion and business, The Calzone Kitchen, and managing customer service for our customers. Somewhere amongst the school runs, family life, work and the daily juggle, I carve out time to paint.
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I studied it at GCSE and have dipped in and out of creativity ever since, but it wasn’t until recently that I truly gave myself permission to pursue it. I am a self-taught, emerging artist, learning and evolving with every piece I create.
For me, painting is freedom.
It’s the place where the noise quietens, time disappears, and I lose myself completely. It’s a chance to escape, to play, to explore colour and emotion without rules. Every finished piece brings a sense of joy and achievement that is difficult to put into words.
I have been fortunate enough to be commissioned to create some wonderful pieces of art already, and seeing my work find a home with others is incredibly rewarding. I hope this is something that continues as I grow and develop as an artist.
My artwork is inspired by the beauty, chaos, humour, and colour that surround everyday life. Through my paintings, I hope to share some of that feeling with others.
Most of all, I believe everyone should put paint to paper at least once in their life. Not because the result needs to be perfect, but because you might just discover the same sense of freedom and elation that I find every time I pick up a brush.
Thank you for being here and for supporting my journey as I work towards achieving that fourth childhood dream.
